Details, Diverse

To build this work, this portrait of a place, we use the frame of details: the 6pm guffaws of May outdoor happy hour recorded next to a dish depository; the single Spanish sentence ringing through the empty Winter Garden at 12 midnight; the constant swing 3 o'clock Starbucks door; the key that shuts down the escalators at midnight; the 100 people sitting at 1pm and the 100 people moving at 5pm; the few people with nowhere to go and the thousands who are going across the Hudson or somewhere else fast.

By bringing light to details, everyday movement image and sound, a viewpoint of a place is built. This viewpoint forms a dialog with peoples' perception of this modern urban office complex, a complex which is both normal and surrounded by the spectacular and monumental.
